Rough terrain including dirt and gravel roads. Valle gets warm mid morning through mid day, cooling off in the evening. Expect a lot of sun and some wind.
Dress Code
Think Texas or LA-ranch fancy, summer party Ralph Lauren… Northern Mexicans dress fancier on the weekend than we do in the US. Expect to see lots of suit coats, linen pants, and dresses.
Valle can be windy and sunny. Since we’ll be out all day, expect the weather to be cool in the morning, hot in the afternoon, and chilly upon return. Bring a hat and a jacket.
Where to Park
Take the train instead
Park at Old Town and take the San Ysidro train to the border. At 30 minutes, it’s the easiest and fastest parking location for the day.

Choose a lot near the San Ysidro train stop at the main crossing of PedEast.
Timing
We’re going to leave early and get home late, roughly 14 hours. Plan accordingly.
