Our story started simply, a small group set off across the border for a glass of wine, a taco, and an adventure. As UX professionals, we didn’t know everyone on the trip to start, by the end we made lifelong friends and vowed to return.

The Mutiny Distinction

Mutiny Retreats is defined as much by what we exclude as by what we curate. To ensure the integrity of the experience and the clarity of the outcome, we maintain a clear boundary between intentional immersion and traditional travel.

  • We are not a resort or an all-inclusive escape. While we occupy beautiful spaces in Valle de Guadalupe, we are not a place to simply sit on a beach or retreat into the isolation of a generic hotel. We believe that real clarity requires active engagement with the environment, culture, and local makers.
  • We do not provide luxury for luxury’s sake. Luxury is never our starting point; perspective is. We avoid the hollow comforts of high-end travel unless those elements—whether a specific vineyard, a private chef, or a historic villa—are purposefully chosen to build a story that serves your strategic or creative goals.
  • We are not another team-building exercise. We move away from generic bullets and surface-level activities. We do not offer conference room solutions; instead, we provide intentional escapes designed to shift relationships, build deep trust, and create lasting alignment through shared, immersive experiences.
  • We are not over-programmed, nor are we unstructured. We reject the noise of constant digital input and the rigidity of typical corporate retreats. Each Mutiny is a carefully calibrated balance of facilitated sessions (strategy, reflection, ideation) and unstructured space where true insight naturally emerges.
  • We are not for everyone. This experience is specifically designed for those willing to step away, be present, and engage fully. It is for the seekers who know that doing more of the same will never lead to the breakthrough thinking they require.
